My life as a Mother is full of love, care, and self-discovery. I am usually lost in my own little whirlwind of responsibilities and keep juggling between a mom, a wife, a daughter and an ambitious entrepreneur striving to build my brand, Fun Little Ones. And let’s be honest it’s not easy. It takes a lot of courage and a lot of passion to keep challenging myself every day. I am always losing battles with myself, but no matter what I keep going persistently, one day at a time.
Have you heard the Ant song- they go marching one by one hoorah! I believe I learned so much from it. How unity, hard work, team-work, co-operation can help you achieve success in life.
The Daily Struggles of Motherhood and Entrepreneurship
Being a Mother is a full-time job in itself, its filled with so many never-ending demands and so many tiny tears spilled over something so little. From early morning school, meal preps, to bedtime stories and constant emotional support, my children are more to me than anything else but it takes a life toll.
At the same time my Entrepreneurial journey requires time, dedication, strategic thinking and constant learning. I can’t have a misstep. Everything could come crashing down.
The Challenges of running a business as a mother are so many. There are times when I need to be at work when my children are recovering from a sickness or are sick. Every decision I make always comes from a deep rooted regret because I cannot be there at both places at the same time.
I find immense fulfilment in both roles, it’s hard, no two days are the same, I have that village as promised that I would need to raise both kids and work, I don’t know what I would do without them
Building Fun Little Ones: A Dream That Became My Solace
My brand, Fun Little Ones, is my passion and my pride. It is an ethnic designer wear brand for kids, with exclusive “Mom & Me” and “Dad & Me” collections that celebrate family bonds through fashion. While I wanted to create something unique, different and meaningful, the business world proved to be tougher than I had imagined.
At first, I sought help from freelancers and marketing agencies to handle digital promotions and sales. However, despite investing in multiple marketing strategies and digital ad campaigns, the results were not as expected. Every attempt seemed to fall short, and eventually, all problems circled back to me for troubleshooting and solutions.
It was overwhelming, to say the least. I had no formal knowledge of digital marketing, and every setback made me question my ability to sustain my business.
The Turning Point: Learning to Take Charge
Feeling lost in the complex world of digital marketing, I realized that if I wanted to scale my business successfully, I needed to equip myself with the right skills. That’s when I came across a well-structured Digital Marketing Course, specifically designed course for small business owners like me, and also for industry professionals who want to ace their portfolios for better jobs.
I am Excited to take this journey as I am hoping it will help me learn fundamental aspects of digital marketing, understanding target audiences, performance marketing, content creation and many more. It can open a lot of avenues for me to scale Fun Little Ones. Help me take control of my brand marketing strategy instead of relying on external agencies.
Lessons from the Journey: Empowering Myself and Other Moms
Through this journey, I have learned valuable lessons that every mother-entrepreneur should know:
- Learning Never Stops: No matter how experienced we are, there is always something new to learn, especially in the ever-changing world of digital marketing.
- Resilience is Key: There will be failures and disappointments, but staying determined and finding solutions is what leads to success.
- Time Management is Everything: Balancing business and parenting requires strict prioritization and efficient time management.
- Trust Your Instincts: Whether it’s about business decisions or parenting choices, a mother’s instincts are powerful and often lead to the right path.
- Ask for Help When Needed: Seeking guidance, whether from family, business mentors, or professional courses, is essential for growth.
Looking Ahead: Growing as a Mom and an Entrepreneur
My journey is far from over, but I now walk with a renewed sense of confidence. My children are my greatest motivation, and Fun Little Ones is my legacy. By embracing continuous learning and overcoming challenges one step at a time, I am building something meaningful for both my family and my customers.
To all the mothers out there who dream of starting their own businesses—never let fear hold you back. Equip yourself with knowledge, embrace the challenges, and remember that you are capable of achieving great things.
This journey is tough, but the rewards are beyond measure. After all, being a mother and an entrepreneur is not about choosing one role over the other—it’s about thriving in both.
